We believe that everyone with breast cancer should have support.
That's why the American Cancer Society is so determined to be here for the survivors, the patients, the caregivers, and the millions saved through early detection.
Help raise funds for groundbreaking breast cancer research, life-saving education, and critical patient services by walking in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Making Strides of Erie.
Get ready to join more than one million volunteers nationwide. When you sign up, fundraise, and participate in one of our noncompetitive, three- to five-mile walks, you will be there to support every person affected by breast cancer.
We walk to make sure that anyone touched by this disease has a hand to hold. So give us yours by taking the first steps in supporting this year's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.
You can start a team, or keep your team going. And keep raising awareness and donations.
Begin today! The sooner we start, the farther we'll go.

We are excited to announce a new campaign for 2016 - Real Men Wear Pink.
In its inaugural year in Erie, prominent area men will take a stand against breast cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Erie through participation in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign. Throughout the month of October, Real Men Wear Pink candidates will encourage women in their lives and in the community to take action in the fight against breast cancer.
In addition to wearing pink and raising awareness about breast cancer issues, these men will be raising funds to help the American Cancer Society save more lives from breast cancer- with each one having a goal to raise a minimum of $2,500. The men are embracing the idea of some friendly competition to see who will be deemed THE REAL MAN of Making Strides in Erie.
Candidates for the Real Men Wear Pink campaign include: Jim Berlin- CEO of Logistics Plus; Tom Kennedy - Owner of The Renaissance Center; Odis Cheathams III- GE Transportation and owner of OC Photography of Erie; Tom New - President / CEO of WQLN Public Media; Nick DiSantis- Central Tech girls basketball and softball coach; James Toohey- Partner at MacDonald, Illig, Jones, and Britton; Mark Eisert- Owner of Millenium Sound Productions and teacher at Corry Area High School; Dan Perfetto- Mercyhurst Preparatory School Athletic Director and girls basketball coach; and RJ Messenger- Owner of Iron Empire Clothing.
