THE WALK IS ONE DAY IN OCTOBER
THE WORK HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE DAY
Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts! Your participation and donations help insure that we can continue our lifesaving mission to end the pain and suffering from breast cancer.
We are still pushing on to try to reach our goal of raising $110,000 here in Erie. There are still teams and organizations who are fundraising, and events that are planned in the upcoming weeks. We are anticipating that these donations will bring us to about $109,000. We are SO close to our goal, and we know we can get there with your help! *the fundraising total on the website does not automatically reflect all cash or check donations.
You may ask, "Why is the goal so important". Because without donations from supporters like you, we could not continue to provide local services such as free wigs, free rides to treatment, one on one support for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients, and classes to help women cope with the appearance related side effects of their cancer. We also could not continue to offer 24 hour / 7 day per week support for anyone with questions about cancer, or fund life-saving cancer research. All of these services depend on you!
We still have one more event planned before the end of the year.
Dine to Donate at Buffalo Wild Wings on November 14th.
All you need to do is go out to lunch or dinner (like many of us do anyway), give them a flyer, and a portion of your food bill with be donated to Making Strides. It is that easy!
Check out our local fundraisers page for information on other upcoming events in the community.
We will be raffling this beautiful quilt donated by Millcreek Sewing & Fabric. Tickets are $5 or 3 tickets for $10. Drawing will be held on November 30th. You can purchase your tickets today at the American Cancer Society office, Millcreek Sewing & Fabric, or Northwest Savings Bank on Grandview Blvd.
If you, your team, your social organization, school, etc., would like to hold a fundraiser or make a donation you can contact our office at 814-866-5273. Donations will graciously be accepted through December 31st.

We believe that everyone with breast cancer should have support.
That's why the American Cancer Society is so determined to be here for the survivors, the patients,
the caregivers, and the millions saved through early detection.
Help raise funds for groundbreaking breast cancer research, life-saving education, and critical patient services by walking in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Making Strides of Erie.
Get ready to join more than one million volunteers nationwide. When you sign up, fundraise, and participate in one of our noncompetitive, three- to five-mile walks, you will be there to support every person affected by breast cancer.
We walk to make sure that anyone touched by this disease has a hand to hold. So give us yours by taking the first steps in supporting this year's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.
You can start a team, or keep your team going. And keep raising awareness and donations.
Begin today! The sooner we start, the farther we'll go.
