3M Littmann® Stethoscopes

For the third consecutive year, 3M Littman has been supporting the American Cancer Society by increasing breast cancer awareness through the sale of a special limited-edition stethoscope (Classic II SE). The American Cancer Society receives $5, for every stethoscope sold. The promotion has raised over $100,000 for the Society.

From September 11 to October 31, 2011, A.C. Moore will partner with the American Cancer Society to sell American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer breast cancer awareness scannables at checkout. Scannables are available for $1 with 100 percent of proceeds contributed to the American Cancer Society. In addition to the scannables, A.C. Moore will host a breast cancer awareness-related craft activity during October for customers.

From October 1-31, 2011, participating Ace Hardware stores will offer customers the opportunity to purchase a pink co-branded bucket for $5 and receive 20 percent off all items that fit in the bucket. Ace Hardware will also offer $1 pink ribbon scannables. All proceeds from the bucket and pink ribbon card sales will be contributed to the American Cancer Society.

DS Waters of America, Inc., has joined with the American Cancer Society to support the fight against breast cancer. DS Waters® is a producer and distributor of bottled water, water filtration and coffee products delivered to homes, offices and retail outlets across the United States. Athena®, one of the brands of water owned by DS Waters, was created in 2003 with the sole purpose to help raise funds for breast cancer awareness, education and research.

Athena and the American Cancer Society created a multi-year national promotion in 2011 to fight breast cancer and create more birthdays through its bottled water sales. The American Cancer Society is excited about this new partnership and appreciates the support from DS Waters of America, Inc.

This year Cascade Engineering continues its "Kick Breast Cancer to the Curb" promotion in support of the American Cancer Society.

Cascade Engineering is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of refuse containers, dumpsters, trash cans, recycling bins, waste carts, and more for solid waste and recycling collection - with more than 15 million products in the market through hundreds of waste haulers and municipalities across the country. Chevrolet is proud to support American Cancer Society during October for National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The Cumberland Gulf Group of Companies is a regional chain of convenience stores operating primarily in 11 states in the eastern United States. For the fourth year in a row, this October, the Cumberland Gulf Group of Companies will offer American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer pink ribbon donation cards in all of their store locations to support the Society's fight to save lives from breast cancer.

The Cumberland Gulf Group of Companies has been supporting Making Strides since 1993 and has been a flagship sponsor for Making Strides of Boston since 2007. During that time, the company's CEO has sponsored each Cumberland Gulf Group of Companies employee who has walked in the Making Strides of Boston event. Their employee and CEO support of the American Cancer Society has generated more than $551,000 for the Society since the relationship began.

For the third year in a row, D&D Commodities will continue its ongoing collaboration with the American Cancer Society and its support of breast cancer awareness. D&D is a manufacturer of premium nutritional products for caged birds, small animals, wild birds, and wildlife, for a minimum of three years, D&D will feature the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer logo on packages of its Wild Delight bird seed products.

Wild Delight seed products are nationally distributed through pet stores and retail chains. D&D distributors may also support breast cancer awareness further with advertising, collateral, and point of sale displays created by D&D.

As part of dressbarn continuing relationship with the American Cancer Society, this October, dressbarn stores hold their 9th annual nationwide fall charitable sales promotion. During the promotion, over 800 dressbarn stores will sell "Lilac" a plush dog toy, for $6. A minimum of $2.50 from every sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society to support local and national cancer initiatives.

This in-store campaign has been a part of dressbarn's ongoing relationship with the American Cancer Society since 2003. This in-store campaign is part of dressbarn, inc.'s continuing relationship with the American Cancer Society. To date, the company has contributed over $8 million through its in-store promotions and its Relay involvement.

Since 2004, Foot Locker, Inc., a global retailer of athletic shoes and apparel, which includes Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Footaction, has been supporting the American Cancer Society's efforts to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer.

Lady Foot Locker demonstrates their support of the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer through their annual cause-marketing campaign each October. Throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness month (and continuing while supplies last through December 2011), Foot Locker will offer customers a long-sleeve T-shirt and water bottle, among other items. Lady Foot Locker stores and ladyfootlocker.com offer the following items: fleece hooded sweatshirt, gym tote, a donation card, and a string bracelet. All items include breast cancer messaging about the importance of detecting breast cancer early, when it is most treatable. A portion of the sale of each item benefit the Society's fight to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. In an effort to raise additional awareness, Foot Locker, Footaction, and Champs Sports also air the Society's breast cancer awareness television ad during October on their in-store monitors. To date, Foot Locker has raised more than $1.3 million dollars for the American Cancer Society through this annual cause-marketing campaign.

From October 3-17, 2011, H&M has agreed to sell special garments in approximately 150 US stores. The special garments include (2) bra and panty sets and a robe. The American Cancer Society will receive 25 percent of the proceeds from the sale of these garments.

Operating a network of 117 retail stores in 17 states across the United States, Havertys will implement a breast cancer promotion to raise awareness among consumers and generate funds to support the Society's efforts to save lives from breast cancer, while also encouraging employees to participate in Making Strides events to show their support of the American Cancer Society, this October.

To support the campaign, Havertys will execute print, television, and in-store point of sale, including:

  • A :10 second Making Strides Against Breast Cancer tag on Havertys' Columbus Day television ads. The spot will air in select markets.
  • The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer pink ribbon card which customers can purchase and place on the Havertys "Hope Tree" located in stores.
  • Point-of-sale materials will be prevalent throughout the stores to encourage consumers to participate.

The Havertys executive team continues to be fully committed to the success of this partnership and considers the American Cancer Society a key nonprofit partner.

jetBlue and American Express have joined forces to raise funds and awareness for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. For every booking made on jetBlue.com during October using an American Express card, jetBlue will contribute $1, up to $50,000, to the American Cancer Society. jetBlue employee teams have been participating in Making Strides events since 2006.

John Paul Mitchell conducts their second annual breast cancer awareness promotion in 2011 in support of American Cancer Society. JPMS will promote and offer for sale at its participating retailers pink hair dryers, pink curling irons and pink brushes, with the product, packaging and accompanying promotional materials containing the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer logo.

JPMS will also promote and offer to its associates and customers an opportunity to make contributions to the Society through participating salons and John Paul Mitchell schools. Fundraising may include "Birthday Blow Out Specials" and Cut-a-thons. Company will produce significant PR around the relationship in print, web, viral and TV. One hundred percent of the contributions from the fundraising efforts shall go to the American Cancer Society.

2011 marks the 16th year of the Longaberger Company's "Horizon of Hope" charitable sales promotion, from which $2 per signature item sold from July through October has been donated to the American Cancer Society.

Since 1995, nearly three million "Horizon of Hope" products have been sold, which has generated over $15 million in revenue and an estimated 20 million women have received messages about breast cancer early detection through this promotion. Items this year included the Horizon of Hope basket; Horizon of Hope Accessories Set Basket; Horizon of Hope Potpourri Basket; and the Horizon of Hope Potpourri. Longaberger will offer the Horizon of Hope Woven Traditions Pink Travel Mug and the Horizon of Hope Potpourri, all year round, of which $1.00 shall go to the American Cancer Society.

Lowe's is a US-based chain of retail home improvement and appliance stores that serves more than 14 million customers a week through 1,555 stores in the United States and Canada.

For the fifth year in a row, Lowe's stores in New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania featured the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer pink ribbon donation card at their registers during October and invited customers to register for area Making Strides events. Breast cancer awareness messaging was also posted at sign-up stations. To date, Lowe's has raised over $600,000 for the American Cancer Society and the fight against breast cancer.

Midwest Cushion Brokers

Midwest Cushion Brokers, a growing flooring distributor specializing in unique cushion and foam products, launched a breast cancer awareness promotion in 2010 to support of the American Cancer Society. For each roll of laminate and hardwood underlayment, acoustical carpet cushion, and rebond white with pink top carpet cushion sold to their distributors, they will contribute $1.00 to the American Cancer Society in support of breast cancer programs.

For the third year in a row, the National Football League (NFL) will conduct a breast cancer promotion to benefit the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. The NFL chose the American Cancer Society as the official charity for its October breast cancer awareness efforts, which include awareness activities, cause-related marketing, and an online auction.

The promotion, called "A Crucial Catch" includes:

  • Post-game online auction. This auction includes pink items worn by players, coaches, and referees during the month of October, such as footballs, commemorative coins, and player apparel including wristbands, hats, and towels. The American Cancer Society will receive 100% of the gross revenues of the auction, which is being held online at nflauction.nfl.com and promoted with banner ads on nfl.com.
  • Pink merchandise. Pink NFL-branded merchandise will be sold in October at all in-stadium NFL team shops (while supplies last) and at nflshop.com. Trading cards with breast cancer facts and the American Cancer Society's recommendations for the early detection of breast cancer are being provided with each purchase at the NFL team shops.
  • The NFL also has a national Making Strides team Web page where clubs and fans can create teams to participate in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

From September 1 to October 31, 2011, She by SO.CAP.USA will promote its "Pink Hair For Hope" campaign in more than 1,000 participating salons nationwide. Individuals can go to participating local salons and have a lock of She by SO.CAP.USA's signature pink hair extension added to their own locks for just $10. Ninety percent of the net proceeds will benefit American Cancer Society.

From April through September, customers from 1,000 Subway restaurants in the American Cancer Society South Atlantic Division (Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.) contributed to the American Cancer Society's fight against breast cancer by adding $1 to their purchases. As part of their donation, Subway customers received a die-cut pink ribbon while the American Cancer Society received 100 percent of the contribution. To date, Subway has contributed over $1,000,000 to support the Society's efforts to save lives from breast cancer.

The Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association (TLPA) Pink Ride to benefit the American Cancer Society is back by popular demand in 2011!

TLPA encourages all members to designate at least one vehicle in their fleets pink as part of the TLPA Pink Ride to benefit the American Cancer Society, a campaign to support the mission of the American Cancer Society to heighten breast cancer awareness and raise funds to help fight the disease. This year brings new and exciting improvements to the program. Among these is the news that the American Cancer Society is the exclusive charity for the TLPA Pink Ride program. Member companies that participate in the TLPA Pink Ride to benefit the American Cancer Society will paint, wrap or affix signage designating one or several vehicles as part of "TLPA Pink Ride to benefit the American Cancer Society." For each such designated vehicle, the member agrees to donate at least $100 per week during the 2011 fundraising period to the Society. New this year, the American Cancer Society will provide a Text-to-Give number for an offer to customers to join the TLPA member in support of the fight against breast cancer, and will provide a web page for TLPA member companies and their passengers to use to make contributions to the TLPA Pink Ride to benefit the American Cancer Society.
