Cheryl Witter's Story

My breast cancer journey — I fought breast cancer and beat it, I am a survivor.

March 2012 I was diagnosed with stage 3B breast cancer at age 37. Everything bad that could have happened did happen to me. I didn't think I was going to make it because of the size of the tumor and how fast it was growing. I had a double mastectomy April 26, 2012 (4 days) after my birthday, completed 5 months of chemo and reconstructive surgery then 6 weeks of radiation. Thank god for all the people in my life especially my boyfriend Troy. He is definitely my rock. I stayed positive and strong the whole way through and that's what got me by besides all the love & support from my family and friends. Prayer is so powerful. Thank you for letting me be a survivor.
